How Software-Promoter stores date fields?

Software-Promoter stores all date fields in the "YYYY.MM.DD" format. This is important when your keygen returns date field (such as "RecDate") into Software-Promoter. You must return date values as "2003.12.20" (Dec 20, 2003).

When I set SMTP for the "E-mail sending mode" and specify my SMTP server (smtp.west.cox.net), all sent messages return with an error in the error window of "Posting error: 550 relaying mail to toupin.com is not allowed"

You are *probably* connected to one ISP with your mail server or return address configured to another, this is a common anti-spam preventative by ISP's to keep unauthorized users from using their mail servers to distribute SPAM. For more information read this article:  http://eudora.qualcomm.com/techsupport/kb/1593hq.html

Software-Promoter fails to start with errors. What I can do?

  • Backup sp.xml (database) file for safety purposes.
  • Try to run SP with "/cleardesktop" switch. This causes SP to do not load any desktop options such as grids sortings, customizing and so on. If SP still fail, go to next step, otherwise finish.
  • Try to run SP with "/repair" switch. SP will try to search obsolete and broken items and delete it.
  • If you are here, your XML is broken and cannot be loaded. In this case, SP reports errors in ".loaderror" file. This error is returned by MSXML engine. You can fix up your SP.XML yourself or mail me both "sp.xml" and ".loaderror" files to  nick@softilium.com .
