Command-line parameters

Software-Promoter supports some special parameters from command-line.

/CLEARDESKTOP

This parameter clear all your desktop settings such as sizes, positions, field sets in grids and so on.

/REPAIR

This parameter runs some procedures intended to restore damaged Software-Promoter database. In addition, this routine checks duplicated objects IDs and delete orphaned items that caused Access Violation errors.

NOTE: all outbox messages will be erased; all automated actions will be turned off.

Custom fields

Software-Promoter supports custom field's definition for sites, products, versions and registration orders. Custom fields look as regular files. It is accessible through macros, too.

For instance, if you have defined "ChildNames" field for registration order, it will be appear as "RegistrationCF_ChildNames" where ".CF_" is a common prefix for all custom fields.

Custom fields are a powerful way to extent Software-Promoter functionality. As example, I collect information about affiliates programs support for sites. I have defined a set of custom fields for this goal: "ShareItEnabled", "RegNowEnabled", "eSellerateEnabled", "CJEnabled" etc. And when I work with sites list, I can select only sites that supports RegNow etc.

Custom field definition process is simple: just open "Custom fields" dialog, select appropriate item type and click "New field" button. When you change custom fields set, Software-Promoter need to restart before you continue to work.
